Epic Games has surprised fans with a Power Rangers crossover for the next Fortnite season, Shock ‘N Awesome, launching on August 7. A new live-action trailer dropped today, delivering a heavy dose of 90s nostalgia with morphing sequences and giant bug battles.

A Bug Problem Needs a Megazord Solution

The cinematic trailer opens with Fortnite heroes under attack by giant insects. These creatures emerged from a tentacle left behind during last weekend’s Superman event.

Things look bleak—until the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers arrive and turn the tide. However, just as victory seems near, a much larger bug crashes in. That’s when the towering Dino Megazord appears to finish the job in true Ranger style.

New Skins and Battle Pass Highlights

According to the trailer’s description, the Red, Black, Pink, Yellow, and Blue Rangers will hit the Item Shop in mid-August. Meanwhile, the Dino Megazord will feature in the Shock ‘N Awesome Battle Pass.

Other additions include a Spartan skin from Halo, a woman with robotic gun-arms, and a humanoid panda with an eye patch—because why not? It’s Fortnite.

Fortnite’s next season, Shock ‘N Awesome, kicks off on August 7. Expect chaotic bug battles, surprise crossovers, and even more pop culture madness.
