NVIDIA RTX 50-Series Unveiled – New GPUs for Ultimate Gaming and Content Creation

NVIDIA has officially unveiled its next-generation RTX 50-series GPUs, set to redefine high-performance gaming and content creation. During his opening keynote speech at CES 2025, CEO Jensen Huang revealed the series, which includes the flagship RTX 5090 at $1,999, the RTX 5080 at $999, the RTX 5070 Ti at $749, and the RTX 5070 at $549. During a demo, Cyberpunk 2077 ran at a stunning 238fps on the RTX 5090 with DLSS 4, compared to just 106fps on the RTX 4090 with DLSS 3.5. The Blackwell architecture enhances frame rates even further.

The RTX 5080 offers similar high-end performance with 16GB of GDDR7 memory and 10,752 CUDA cores. NVIDIA expects it to perform twice as fast as the RTX 4080, making it a great option for gamers who want top-tier performance without the hefty price tag.

For mid-range users, the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 offer significant upgrades as well. The 5070 Ti, which comes with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, should be twice as fast as the RTX 4070 Ti. The 5070 delivers performance similar to the RTX 4090, but at a more affordable price. Both GPUs are power-efficient, which makes them ideal for those seeking strong performance without excessive energy consumption.

NVIDIA will also release the RTX 50-series for laptops, with the RTX 5090 mobile GPU coming in March 2025. The mobile version will feature 24GB of GDDR7 memory for gaming and content creation on the go.

NVIDIA’s latest lineup introduces AI-powered technologies like RTX Neural Shaders and RTX Neural Faces, which improve texture quality and facial detail using generative AI. With DLSS 4, NVIDIA promises up to 8x better frame rates and enhanced image quality, even on older RTX GPUs.
