Japanese singer LiSA has been confirmed as the performer of the opening theme “Black Box” for the second season of the anime “NieR:Automata Ver1.1a”.
Sha has previously sung numerous viral anime songs such as ‘Gurenge’ for “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba-” and ‘crossing field’ for “Sword Art Online”.
The anime will begin airing its second season in July of 2024. The lyrics and composition of the song are by Hiromu Akita from amazarashi, who was responsible for the ending theme “Antinomy” in the first season.
The second promotional video for the second season, Promotion File 011, has also been released, featuring a sneak peek of “Black Box”.
LiSA has also released a video comment expressing her joy of performing the song for the NieR:Automata anime.
