The Artificial Somnambulism is an endgame mod in Reverse: 1999 that unlocked after completing Chapter Two, “Tender is the Night” of the main campaign and the early parts of Chapter Three.

The game mode comprises two parts, the Surface and the Limbo, with the latter representing the more challenging iteration of the former.

Each part of Artificial Somnambulism offers players weekly rewards and each stage gets progressively more challenging. For each stage completed, players earn stars and will receive rewards based on the total collected.

If players are able to successfully clear all stages of Limbo each week, they can earn up to 600 Clear Drops. Furthermore, the game mode also features minor story segments that players can explore.

Limbo 6-1 Challenge

In the third edition of Artificial Somnambulism, the Limbo 6-1 stage comprises two small enemies known as Lindwurm and Managarm, as well as a boss.

These creatures can deal high DMG and have lower HP levels, making them fragile but deadly.

Lindwurm specifically possesses abilities to inflict silence and disarm its opponents for two rounds and when the effect ends, it can deal 20% damage to all enemies and gain immunity to Moxie reduction events for three rounds.

Meanwhile, the boss Elfin in the Lake features buffs that cannot be dispelled, namely the Blessing of the Lake effect.

Additionally, whenever the boss is attacked, she gains one stack of Grace of the Lake buff for herself, and reaching 5 stacks would transform the buff into the Blessing of the Lake effect at the end of her turn.

Once attaining such an effect, Elfin in the Lake would then only take the fixed damage of one.

Since the Blessing of the Lake buff is only obtained during the enemy’s turn, players are advised to save up their dispel ability to cast it on Elfin in the Lake when she has gained 4 stacks of Grace of the Lake.

Team Suggestion

In general, the best strategy for Artificial Somnambulism is to prioritize dealing with the smaller enemies first as they have relatively low health but can cause significant damage.

The team of low-rarity characters we recommend clearing this iteration of Artificial Somnambulism is as follows:

• Mondlicht – Main DPS, Insight 2 Level 50, Resonate 9, Psychube: Hopscotch Level 40
• Sonetto – Support, Insight 2, Resonate 6, Psychube: The Footloose
• Mesmer Jr. – Dispel, Insight 2, Resonate 5, Psychube: Laughter and Laughter

Alternatively, if you have any of the following characters, they are highly recommended to bring along:

• X – Having the ability to Dispel enemies, especially against Elfin in the Lake.
• Necrologist – Similar reason to X as Dispel is crucial against Elfin in the Lake.
• Bkornblume – One of the best damage dealers and support in the game.
• Eternity – Plays the role of a carry and can output high burst damage to enemies.
