Nintendo Switch OLED Model: Mario Red Edition Unveiled

Nintendo has announced the new Switch OLED Model: Mario Red Edition as part of the marketing for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder game.

Unveiled during the Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct, the Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Red Edition will be released on 6 October 2023, a few weeks ahead of the game’s launch.

The price for the Mario Red Edition Nintendo Switch OLED will be USD 349.99 (RM 1624.30) and will not include a themed Joy-Con Grip.

As revealed, the special edition Switch OLED and its Joy-Con controllers will be in mostly Mario’s signature red, except for its display bezels.

Furthermore, the back panel of the dock also features a silhouette of Mario jumping while the hub that houses ports has the games’ gold coins decorated on top.

The special edition Nintendo Switch is a marketing tie-in for the forthcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the latest entry to the 2D side-scrolling series that introduces new gameplay elements.

Invited by Prince Florian, Mario and his friends will venture to the Flower Kingdom, where Bowser spreads chaos once again.

Aside from the titular character, players can also play as other popular characters in the series such as Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Blue Toad, and Toadette.

As mentioned, the Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Red Edition will be available for purchase at the price of USD 349.99 (RM 1624.30) starting on 6 October 2023, ahead of the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game’s launch on 20 October 2023.
