Sony and Insomniac Games revealed a a limited PS5 bundle for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and pre-orders will begin July 28, 2023 in Malaysia and other countries.

The new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle was revealed during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con this week, featuring a limited PS5 console and DualSense wireless controller with design inspired by the iconic hero.

The PS5 Console 

During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, the new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle is revealed with its PS5 console and DualSense wireless controller themed after the game.

The console features a custom cover design inspired by the symbiote that players will face in the game.

The cover shows the black symbiote almost taken over the console completely, leaving only a splash of red and the iconic white Spider-Man symbols.

The DualSense wireless controller also features a similar design style to complement the PS5 console.

“The design was inspired by the in-game symbiote that’s taking over the console and controller, but you can still see some of the underlying red under the tendrils.” says Jacinda Chew, Insomniac Games Senior Art Director.

“This represents the various ways players will experience the symbiote takeover in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.”

“It’s a constant push and pull for dominance whether it’s internal or external and the outcome is not certain.”

Availability

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle will be available for pre-orders on the July 28 at select retailers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippine and Vietnam.

The bundle is slated for release on September 1 for Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand, ahead of the game’s official release.

For Malaysia, the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle will be launched on September 15.

And for the Philippines and Vietnam, the bundle will be released on the 20th of October, 2023

The bundle will includes a limited edition Spider-Man inspired PS5 console, DualSense wireless controller, and a voucher for a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition.

If you already own a PS5, Sony will also be selling the console covers and DualSense Wireless Controller separately for you to customize your current machine.

The console covers will be available starting September 1st in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.

Players who purchase the bundle will also receive the pre-order bonuses of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which includes an early unlock of the Arachknight Suit for Peter, Shadow Spider Suit for Miles, Web Grabber gadget, and 3 skill points.

The bundle will be available worldwide in limited quantities at select retailers.

Story Trailer

In the brand-new story trailer, several new details have been revealed, including the first full look at the iconic Spider-Man rival, Venom.

An expanded Marvel’s New York is also revealed, now enabling players to traverse across the East River and explore Brooklyn, Queens and Coney Island.

The game will also feature the Web Wings as a form of traversal, allowing players to use momentum to travel back and forth with speed and style.

“For us it was a cool opportunity to bring something people have seen in comics and movies and integrate it in the game.” said Senior Game Director Ryan Smith.

“Swinging is the core of our Spider-Man traversal, so we designed the Web Wings to work with swinging and complement it.”

Together with the trailer, Sony also reveals the Collector’s Edition Statue featuring Venom and a limited Spider-Man themed PS5 bundle.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and the Collector’s Edition will be available on the 20th October, 2023 on the PlayStation 5.
