Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has announced that the Nintendo Switch Aquarium Simulator, Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits, will be released in 2022.
The game is a sequel to the 2019 Switch game Ace Angler where the player once again takes control of an aquarium-themed amusement park with multiple modes.
Marine Medal Mania is an amusement park that features five attractions. Each of these attractions will earn you medals which can then be used to spin the Fish Gacha, which unlocks new species and will help you in your quest to complete the aquarium.
The attractions include:
- Ace Angler + The Fishing Medal Game
The game allows you to play the Ace Angler arcade fishing game in the comfort of your home in Medal Mode. This will allow you to snap up a number of rare marine life from oarfish to great white sharks using the Switch’s joy-cons. It can also be played with up to four players.
- Story Mode: Legend of The Poison Seas
The game’s story mode involves you using your fishing skills to rescue the oceans from the poison and garbage that threaten to ruin them forever. The player must travel across the globe in a grand adventure to save the oceans for future generations. You’ll also learn fascinating facts about marine life.
- The Online Angler Competition
You can engage in fishing battles with rivals from around the world. Play online matches with up to four people, collect stars for each victory you earn, and aim to become the Ultimate Angler. Use Password Match to play against friends and family even when you are apart
- The Fishing Mini-Games: Ace Angler Party
Ace Angler Party also features 12 marine-themed party games such as Gator Panic, Goldfish Scooping, and Harpoon Hunt. It also includes other fishing competitions in which you can compete to catch the heaviest or most expensive fish.
- Medal Pusher Game Shark Fever
This attraction is a medal pusher game, where players’ ultimate goal is to scoop a huge haul by catching a great white shark. Knockdown 5 balls to trigger a Shark Battle and land the shark to scoop a huge haul of Medals.
Ultimately though, your main goal is to collect medals in each of these games and complete your aquarium by gathering the over 250 types of fish that are available in the title.
