Fans closely waiting for Bandai Namco’s upcoming mobile Digimon game have been given a sliver of hope with the game’s latest update. In an official post by Digimon Alysion, the developers have shared that they’re preparing to open pre-registration within the next few weeks, giving fans another update after months without substantial news about the game’s release.
The game’s official social media account also apologised for keeping fans waiting and said the development team was working hard towards a stable release. Players were also promised more information soon, although the developers have yet to confirm an exact pre-registration date.

First revealed during Digimon Con 2025 on March 20, 2025, Digimon Alysion is a free-to-play online card game for iOS and Android. The title brings the established Digimon Card Game experience to mobile devices, allowing players to build decks and battle other players digitally.
Beyond its card battles, Digimon Alysion features an original story set in the same world as Digimon Liberator, the franchise’s ongoing web comic and novel project. The game will reportedly follow Kanata Hondo, a Digimon fan who enters the virtual world of Lacuna, where she encounters new friends, rivals, and of course, Digimon.

The game also introduces original cards and characters, offering a distinct experience while retaining the core rules. A closed beta test took place back in August 2025, attracting more than 50,000 applications worldwide.
After the beta test, Bandai Namco received feedback, requesting improvements for the game’s battle interface, pacing, and card readability. The team also outlined plans for interface improvements, friend challenges, and expanded language support in a September 2025 report.
The game’s official website lists 2026 as its scheduled release year, but a firm launch date remains unconfirmed. With pre-registration approaching, fans can expect further details as development continues.
