S-Game’s upcoming action title Phantom Blade Zero has released a new “Year of The Snake” trailer, highlighting an intricate boss encounter and innovative weapon systems.
The trailer’s centerpiece is a two-phase boss battle against the Seven Judgments, former righteous warriors corrupted by a mysterious Transcension procedure. In the first phase, players face these enemies arranged in the Big Dipper constellation formation, led by a blue-robed figure named Decree. The battle mechanics require players to manage multiple opponents while targeting Decree, who can be healed by his disciples and even revive fallen allies to maintain the formation’s strength.

The second phase transforms the encounter, with three disciples manipulating a puppet called “Tyrannical Decree” using red threads. This segment emphasizes aerial combat with pendulum-like movements, requiring precise timing and careful approach to damage the puppet during its vulnerable ground phases.
The trailer also introduces new weapon systems, including the White Python and Red Viper dual-sword combination. This paired weapon set features a longer sword for sweeping attacks and a shorter blade for precision strikes, allowing for fluid combo possibilities. The Venomous Softblade, a flexible weapon specializing in counters and deflections, was also showcased.

Additionally, the game introduces two new Phantom Edge abilities: the Savage Axe, which can deliver three powerful charged strikes, and the Ink Cut, a combo-enhancing artifact that integrates with the player’s primary weapon attacks. S-Game has hinted at the Ink Cut’s significance to the game’s story, though specific details remain under wraps to avoid spoilers.
