It may be hard to believe, but Baldur’s Gate 3 has officially turned two. To celebrate the second anniversary, developer Larian Studios shared a treasure trove of quirky, obscure, and delightful player statistics, reminding us why this CRPG has stayed so close to players’ hearts.
Two Years of Party-Based Chaos

To commemorate the milestone, Larian revealed stats that highlight just how wild and creative the BG3 player base truly is. For instance:
- 2.07% of players managed to defeat 20 enemies while drunk (in-game, presumably… hopefully).
- 3.87% of players bested Gortash in Wyrm’s Rock without triggering a single trap, with PC players being slightly more careful than their console counterparts.
- Over 1.1 million players completed the game in Tactician Mode, while nearly 500,000 players dared to finish it in Honour Mode, the game’s most punishing difficulty.
- Incredibly, 4,647 players beat Honour Mode with a Level 1 character.
- 31,180 opted for the Jack of All Trades run in Honour Mode.

And in a stat close to every barbarian’s heart, 8.21% of players used enemies as improvised weapons—a true D&D classic.
The Stats Get Weirder (And Better)

The anniversary stats didn’t stop at gameplay. Fans really pushed the boundaries of creativity:
- 350 players respecced Minsc into a Death Domain Cleric—prompting a concerned “Are you folks doing okay?” from Larian.
- 598 players chose to adopt a child with Wyll, a surprisingly wholesome stat.
- Larian also revealed that since Patch 7, which added official mod support, Baldur’s Gate 3 has seen 265 million mod downloads.
Among those, one mod stood out: Withers Big Naturals, a fan-made mod that gives the skeletal NPC Withers a busty makeover. It has been downloaded over 250,000 times. Yes, really.
A Community Worth Celebrating
Alongside the stats, Larian also shared a collection of amazing photo mode screenshots from fans on Steam, showcasing emotional, action-packed, and hilarious moments from the community.
Studio founder Swen Vincke reflected on the two-year milestone:
“Crazy to think it’s only been two years. It’s truly been life-changing… BG3 was what allowed us to do our next crazy thing… We’re working hard to ensure you’ll have plenty of fun. Like really – loads of it. In a surprising way. And I can’t wait to show you.”
While no announcements have been made yet, Vincke’s words strongly hint that something exciting is in the works.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Two Years, Millions of Stories

Whether you’re dodging traps like a pro, hurling enemies as weapons, or customizing skeletons in the weirdest ways imaginable, Baldur’s Gate 3 has clearly become more than just a game; it’s a community.
As Larian moves forward into its next “crazy thing,” fans will be watching and waiting—with beers in hand, mods installed, and maybe even a little in-game intoxication to spice things up.
