Bandai has announced new Digimon Color V-Pets to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Digimon Xros Wars. Fans can now pre-order these special devices on Premium Bandai Japan. The anniversary collection includes two versions: Xros Heart and Blue Flare. Both feature UV printed color shells with unique designs. The Xros Heart version has a Shoutmon x4 theme, while the Blue Flare version focuses on MetalGreymon.
These V-Pets introduce a special event battle system. Players can recruit Digimon from the anime as allies after winning battles. A total of 13 Digimon can be recruited this way. The devices support DigiXros power-ups, letting players combine Digimon like Shoutmon x4, Shoutmon x3 GM, Shoutmon x3 SD, and Shoutmon X3 S. Some of these Digimon will receive new artwork in the Digimon reference book for the first time.

Players can work with 28 different Digimon through raising and DigiXros features. Of these, 11 can be raised normally. Players who defeat MetalGreymon 2010 in an event battle will earn a Blue Flare Army Digiegg. The V-Pets include a world battle feature where players fight strong enemies from the Xros Wars series. After clearing world battle mode, a powerful mystery enemy will appear. Players must evolve a specific Digimon to have a chance at victory.
These new devices can connect to other Digimon products, including Digimon Color, Pendulum Color, Digivice 25th Color Evolution, and D-3 25th Color Evolution. Connecting unlocks new backgrounds and other content. The V-Pets keep popular features from earlier Digimon Color models, including USB-C charging, cold mode, and a backup system to save progress. Both versions are available for pre-order on Premium Bandai Japan at 7,700 yen each. The devices are scheduled to ship in February 2025.
