The official website of Tamagotchi has announced the Hololive Fantasy Tamagotchi Nano Colorful series, which brings together the beloved virtual idols of Hololive’s 3rd Generation with the nostalgic fun of Tamagotchi. They’ll be giving away collaboration items that can be used with Tamagotchi Uni!

This collaboration caters to both the fans of Hololive VTubers and the classic Tamagotchi digital pets, blending modern fandom with a touch of 90s nostalgia.

For those who have never heard of it, a Tamagotchi is a handheld digital pet that was originally created by Akihiro Yokoi of WiZ and Aki Maita of Bandai, and was first released in Japan in 1996. The name “Tamagotchi” is a blend of the Japanese word “tamago” (which means “egg”) and “watch,” reflecting its egg-shaped design and the fact that it is a small, portable device.

As mentioned, the Tamagotchi Nano Colorful series features virtual pets based on characters from Hololive’s 3rd Generation, also known as Hololive Fantasy. This includes fan-favorite VTubers such as Usada Pekora, Shiranui Flare, Shirogane Noel, and Houshou Marine. Each Tamagotchi will allow users to raise a digital version of these characters, interacting with them in a variety of ways. The devices are designed with themes and visuals that reflect each character’s personality and aesthetic.
