Attack on Titan will return for the last time with Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 3, which will premier in 2023.

This was announced shortly after Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 2 finished airing this Saturday.

The Final Season: Part Three will be a TV series that will finally bring the long-running anime to a close.

“TV Anime “Attack on Titan” The Final Season Part 3, the series finale will be broadcast in 2023 on NHK General TV! The announcement video has been released!”

In hindsight, perhaps referring to Season 4 as the ‘Final Season’ was not the best idea considering there will now be two more final seasons.

The first official key art for Part 3 has also been posted over Attack on Titan social media.

The manga finished with chapter 141 in April 2021. The ending of the series came out to a mixed reception by fans. The anime has so far adapted to around chapter 130, meaning that Final Season Part 3 will have about 10 more chapters to convert into animation. With this in mind, the series might be slightly shorter than previous seasons.

Fans have previously speculated that the final part of the manga will be adapted as a finale movie however this recent news has proven this theory wrong.

The previous seasons of Attack on Titan are available for streaming on Netflix in Southeast Asia.
