Seed Lab and Game Source Entertainment (GSE) have unveiled a major development update for Starsand Island, introducing two long-awaited features: Character Customization and Vehicle Modification. These additions are set to deepen the island life simulation experience with more personal flair, exploration freedom, and social interaction than ever before.
Personalize Your Island Life

The new Character Customization system gives players the freedom to express themselves in-game like never before. Tweak your character’s facial features, skin tone, hairstyle, makeup, accessories, and outfits to create a unique island identity. Whether you’re aiming for soft pastels or streetwear aesthetics, you can mix, match, and save your favorite looks for any occasion.
Hit the Road (and Sky, and Sea)

A variety of vehicles have now been added to the game—from electric scooters to skateboards, rollerblades, and even paragliders. Each comes with its own handling and physics, perfect for a casual cruise or high-speed ride across different terrains. Some vehicles can even transition between land and water, enabling more seamless travel across your island.
Customize Every Ride

For those who want to take things a step further, the Vehicle Modification system offers a full suite of personalization tools. Swap out paint jobs, add decals, upgrade rims, and tailor interiors to build your dream ride. This adds a new layer of progression and creativity for players looking to make their mark on the island.
Ride Together, Chill Together

The update also introduces Duo Riding, letting players take NPCs like Solara—or real-life friends—along for the journey. Certain vehicles support pet passengers, too, letting your cat or dog tag along in a basket, sidecar, or footrest, making your everyday exploration feel more personal and heartwarming.
