SMITE 2 Free-To-Play Open Beta Launches with New Gods and Features

SMITE 2 has entered its free-to-play open beta, accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam Deck. As the sequel to the popular third-person MOBA, SMITE 2 builds on its predecessor with improved visuals, gameplay enhancements, and fresh content, all powered by Unreal Engine 5.

The beta introduces new additions to the game’s roster of gods, including Aladdin, who brings a unique set of abilities like running along walls and engaging enemies in duels using his iconic lamp. Returning characters such as Geb, Mulan, Agni, and Ullr have also received updates to their abilities, offering new tactical opportunities for players.

One of the highlights of SMITE 2 is the return of the 3v3 Joust mode, set on a new Arthurian-themed map. In addition to this, the Conquest mode has seen several updates, and an alpha version of Assault mode is now available for testing. Another new feature is the “Aspects” system, which lets players modify their gods’ abilities for a more personalized gameplay experience.

Titan Forge Games has been actively incorporating feedback from the closed alpha to refine the game. With more content, including additional gods and features, planned for 2025, SMITE 2 aims to offer a fresh yet familiar experience for fans of the franchise.
