Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, Release Date Confirmed

Firaxis Games has revealed the release date for the highly anticipated Turn-Based Strategy game, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Mac and Linux on February 11, 2025.

Initially announced at Summer Game Fest earlier this year, Firaxis Games announced that they would show the gameplay reveal trailer this month. Check it out below.

The 7th iteration of the series will introduce a new gameplay dynamic where players will pick a new civilization at the start of each age, rather than sticking with one throughout the entire game. This allows for more strategic depth as your choices in each age will influence your civilization’s progress and the options available in subsequent eras. The game will feature three main ages: Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern, with the ability to mix and match leaders and civilizations to create unique combinations.

Pre-orders are available now for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. There are 3 versions available: Standard, Deluxe and Founder’s Edition. Pre-ordering any of them will grant you the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack.
