The story takes place in C.E. 74, after the collapse of Dullindal’s Destiny Plan, which would have decided people’s fates based on genetics. Cagalli, the chief representative of the Orb United Emirates, has been working toward a peaceful new order through a global peace monitoring agency called COMPS.

The great war is over, but Shinn has yet to decide which path to follow. When a mobile suit that survived many past battlefields is transferred from ZAFT to the COMPS base on Onogoro Island, the Strike Freedom Gundam is stolen that night by unknown persons. To recover it and protect everything they hold dear, Shinn and his comrades return to battle. After its Japan debut in January, the film will open in North American theaters in February 2027.
