Square Enix has announced a holiday event in Yokohama, Japan, that brings Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy together from November 11, 2026, through January 11, 2027. The event will include themed Christmas decorations, a limited-time cafe, exclusive merchandise, and activities across the Minato Mirai district.

Titled Yokohama Minato Mirai Winter Holiday 2026: A Winter Fantasy Woven by Dragon Quest × Final Fantasy, the event is organized by Mitsubishi Estate in cooperation with Square Enix. It takes place during Dragon Quest’s 40th anniversary, and Final Fantasy will reach its own 40th anniversary in 2027.

At Landmark Plaza, visitors will find a large holiday tree featuring characters from both series, while the first floor of Sakata Seed Garden Square will show a snowy forest beneath a starry sky. MARK IS Minato Mirai will have a large Slime and Chocobo holiday display on its first floor, including treasure chest-inspired gift boxes filled with familiar monsters. Both major installations will receive updated decorations beginning December 26.

A collaboration cafe called Slachoco Kitchen will operate at Cafe Fan Base on the fifth floor of Landmark Plaza for the length of the event. It will serve Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy-themed food, desserts, and drinks. Some menu items will stay available the whole time, while others will rotate between November 11 and December 11 and between December 12 and January 11.

The event will also feature a Square Enix bead art workshop, where participants can make pixel-style Slime and Chocobo keychains inspired by the original Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. A stamp rally will run across Landmark Plaza and MARK IS Minato Mirai from November 11 through December 27, and full details are available in the official announcement from Yokohama Landmark.
