Bravely Default 2 overview

Bravely Default 2 is almost here, launching worldwide on the Nintendo Switch on 26 February 2021. Here’s one last overview of the cast, its systems and Asterisks you can look forward to. The world of Excillant awaits its new Heroes of Light.

• Seth is a young sailor who washes up on the shores of Excillant. He meets Gloria, exiled princess, and joins her on her quest to recover the Crystals stolen from her kingdom
• Gloria, the heir to Musa’s throne, a kingdom now destroyed and its Crystals stolen. She embarks on a journey to retrieve the Crystals and restore harmony to the world
• Elvis is a traveling scholar who seeks the Asterisks to decipher a book left to him by his mentor
• Adelle is a mercenary hired by Elvis, accompanying him on his hunt for Asterisks

The Brave and Default battle system makes its return: utilize your Brave Points to take more actions in a single turn, or Default to guard and store up to three additional BP. Strike the balance between these to overcome your foes!

Your Heroes will be able to have both a main and sub-job. Mix and match abilities to suit your playstyle or specialize against your foes. Get jobs through Asterisk holders of the associated job and gain their power for yourself.
