Bandai Card Games has announced a brand new trading card game based on the Naruto franchise. Simply called Naruto Card Game, it is built around strategy and competitive play, and is set for a worldwide release in 2027. The announcement came alongside a key visual, a teaser trailer, a commemorative illustration, and a message from Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto himself, celebrating the project.

Before the game officially launches, fans will get their first hands-on look at it during Gen Con 2026, running from July 30 to August 2 in Indianapolis. Bandai will be holding tutorial sessions at the event where attendees can learn the game’s core mechanics using demo decks, marking the very first time the public can try it out.

Players who take part in a tutorial session will walk away with a promotional gift set that includes a CP-001 Chakra Card in a special Gen Con 2026 version, a themed backpack, a sticker, and a purchase ticket for the Naruto Card Game Official Playmat, which is also slated to arrive in 2027. Even if you just stop by the booth without joining a session, you can still pick up the backpack and sticker while supplies last.

Ticket registration for the tutorial sessions is expected to open on June 21 through the Gen Con website. Keep in mind that a valid Gen Con admission is required to join. Bandai has also confirmed that more tutorial events are being planned at locations around the world after the Gen Con debut, so players outside the US will have chances to try the game as well.

No further details about card mechanics, set releases, or pricing have been shared yet, but with Gen Con just around the corner, more information is expected to follow as the event approaches.
