Ubisoft has plans for delays on several major unannounced titles to ensure smooth a development cycle. Meanwhile, the long-awaited Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake appears to finally be on track for release. The publisher revealed these decisions in its latest earnings report, citing the positive reception of Assassin’s Creed Shadows earlier this year following its own delay.
While Ubisoft has not specified which games will face setbacks, the announcement strongly suggests they include titles from its flagship franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, and Rainbow Six.

“After a thorough review of its pipeline that took place from October to December, the Group decided to provide additional development time to some of its biggest productions in order to create the best conditions for success,” Ubisoft stated in its report. The company emphasized that this approach “has already been beneficial to the quality of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.”
Despite these delays, Ubisoft projects “significant growth” for fiscal years 2026-27 and 2027-28 compared to 2025-26, based on forthcoming content from its major brands. Additionally, Ubisoft confirmed that the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake will launch during the current business year, which concludes in March. This represents a slight acceleration from the 2026 release window announced in last summer’s trailer, suggesting the game will arrive in early 2025.
The company has also recently announced the formation of a subsidiary focused on its three main IPs—Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. Valued at approximately €4 billion, this new entity will receive a €1.16 billion investment from Tencent, which will acquire a minority stake of around 25%.
