Mega Man game series producer on Mega Man X DiVE’s development concept

After previously talking with Mizuno Keisuke about Mega Man X DiVE‘s character design, we have another release from Capcom Taiwan on Tsuchiya Kazuhiro! You may know him as the Mega Man series game producer

It’s been a while since the CBT of the game. Tsuchiya offers some of his views regarding the systems and game world view of Mega Man X DiVE. First off, he says the “Deep Log” setting of the game allows for scenarios that could never be achievable in the main games.

X and Zero will be able to fight together, alongside Vile with a saber. That won’t be all you can look forward to in the game either!

Attention has been given to reproducing the feeling of using a gamepad to play the game; from dashing to wall climbing within Mega Man X DiVE.

Smartphones are so common these days, and anyone can simply pick up this game to try. Hence, says Tsuchiya, this is why the PVP and Co-op systems are in the game. You’ll be able to battle against, or cooperate with players from all over the world!

Tsuchiya mentions Zero is his favourite character in the Mega Man X series. Did you know Zero’s name is written as the number “0” to signify a “beginning”? There’s some symbolic meaning with his name written with the last letter of the English alphabet (Z), and Tsuchiya gradually grew to love the character.

It’ll be a while yet before Mega Man X DiVE officially launches, but Tsuchiya wants to bring a new experience to players with the game. Stay tuned for more!
