FromSoftware has announced Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, as revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct.
This edition will include the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, along with additional content such as new armor and customization options for the mount Torrent.

According to Famitsu, the FROMSOFTWARE GAMES EVENT Spring 2025 that took place in Tokyo on May 6 has shared new information about Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, including two new character classes: the Knight of Ides and Heavy Armored Knight. These classes, along with two other new armors, will be part of the edition. More new weapons and skills were also hinted at.
Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is set to bring new content, including three new appearances for the spirit horse, Torrent. This content will also be included in the Tarnished Pack DLC, which FromSoftware plans to release at a low price, available on other platforms too. New classes will be introduced to appeal to players starting fresh on Switch 2.

Elden Ring has reached over 30 million sales worldwide, a major achievement that may increase as it releases on the new console.
However, no specific release date has been announced for either the Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 or the Tarnished Pack DLC, except that they are expected in 2025.
