Chaos subsides as Final Fantasy Origin PS5 demo is playable

Gamers can finally get a taste of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin as the demo which was previously broken has now been fixed.

This free demo, which is only available to PS5 owners, had corruption issues at launch. Developer Team Ninja has fixed this issue, and patch 1.03 should make the trial version playable. Simply update the demo on your PS5 and it should work.

Note that there is still no word of the Final Fantasy Origin demo being available for other platforms, unfortunately. As for those who are fortunate enough to own a PS5, the demo will only be available until June 24, 2021.

In addition, the demo is obviously not the final product, so do keep some level of reservation when playing it. Also, progress and save files will not be transferrable to the full game. To learn more about the demo, visit its page on the PlayStation Store.

For those who are unfamiliar, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a spin-off game of the Final Fantasy series, in a similar vein to Dissidia Final Fantasy. First announced during E3 2021, the trailer became a widely talked about subject due to the main character’s design and his obsession with the word “chaos”.
