During Nintendo Direct, Square Enix revealed an upcoming SRPG for the Nintendo Switch with a working title of Project Triangle Strategy. You can watch the announcement trailer for the game below:
Featuring the HD-2D graphics featured in Octopath Traveler, the game harkens back to classic SRPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics. Furthermore, the story changes depending on the actions taken by the player. It features three value systems—Utility, Morality and Liberty which affects the player’s Conviction. As a result, the story branches out differently depending on this hidden Conviction stat.
While the game will release in 2022, its debut demo is currently available on Nintendo’s website. Switch owners can experience two episodes which make up Chapters 6 and 7 in the game.
