The musical adventure continues as Metronomik and Shueisha Games have officially announced No Straight Roads 2 or NSR2, the sequel to the popular rhythm-action game No Straight Roads. The new game is set to launch on PC and console platforms in 2026, with pre-orders now available on Steam.
NSR2 takes players on a worldwide journey with returning rock duo Mayday and Zuke from Bunkbed Junction. This time, the band expands with two new playable members, each bringing their own musical styles and fighting abilities to the mix. Players will guide the group through an international tour as they work to climb the global music charts.
The sequel promises bigger action and improved combat systems that blend rhythm-based fighting with powerful combo attacks. Players can expect to face off against a larger roster of musical bosses while enjoying fresh tracks from composers James Landino, Falk Au Yeong, Garrett Williamson, and Midas Klare, along with guest musicians. Beyond the familiar setting of Vinyl City, NSR2 expands the world with new locations that showcase different music cultures.

“We’re taking everything players loved about the first No Straight Roads and turning it up to 11,” said Wan Hazmer, CEO and Game Director at Metronomik. He highlighted the game’s focus on incredible music, creative boss fights, and imaginative cities to explore during the band’s global tour.
Tomoya Tanaka, Global Marketing Manager at Shueisha Games, expressed excitement about partnering with Metronomik for the sequel, noting how the project fits well with Shueisha’s history of bringing engaging worlds and characters to fans worldwide. Furthermore, No Straight Roads 2 can currently be added to Steam wishlists, with the full release planned for 2026 across PC and console systems.
