Minecraft has expanded its collaborative universe with the release of a new Hello Kitty and Friends DLC, bringing Sanrio’s beloved characters into the blocky world of crafting and adventure. The DLC, developed in partnership with Razzleberries, transforms Minecraft into a farming simulator filled with the iconic charm of Hello Kitty and her companions.
The new content pack features a vibrant town populated by fan-favorite Sanrio characters, including Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, Little Twin Stars, and Tuxedo Sam. Players can explore uniquely designed houses, with Hello Kitty’s residence showcasing the character’s signature pink and white color scheme.

The DLC introduces a comprehensive farming system where players can grow crops, raise animals, and customize their farm with over 180 Hello Kitty-themed decorative items. The farming mechanics include weather challenges such as typhoons and heat waves that affect crop growth, adding an element of strategy to farm management.
A notable feature is the dynamic seasonal system, which changes the appearance of the village throughout the year and introduces special events. Players can participate in seasonal activities including the Cherry Blossom Festival, Halloween Spooktacular, and winter celebrations. The DLC also implements a quest system where characters like Pompompurin and My Melody offer tasks that reward players with resources and items for the in-game shop.

This release continues Minecraft’s long history of successful collaborations, which began in 2014 with franchises like Halo, Fallout, and Mass Effect. The Hello Kitty and Friends DLC is now available through the Minecraft Marketplace, complete with a special Hello Kitty outfit for players to wear as they explore this new kawaii-inspired world.
