Blue Archive 4th Anniversary Update Adds Seia and Rio to Playable Roster

Blue Archive fans have long been eagerly awaiting the addition of Seia and Rio as playable characters, and their patience has finally paid off. During the Blue Archive Fes! 4th Anniversary Challenge♪ live broadcast event on January 19, 2025, Yostar unveiled a series of exciting updates to the game. As reported by 4Gamer, these updates include the long-awaited character releases, alongside new in-game events, gacha banners, and limited-time rewards to celebrate the game’s fourth anniversary.

Seia and Rio Make Their Debut

Both Seia and Rio, introduced into the game some time ago, will now be available as playable characters. Starting January 20, 2025, following maintenance, players can pull for Seia and Asuna (School Uniform) through the “Gentle Hopes Descend” and “Carefree Sun Under the Sky” limited-time gacha banners, running until January 27, 2025. Seia will be voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki, and Asuna will appear in her school uniform.

From January 27 to February 3, 2025, a second limited-time gacha banner, “Libertarian Rushes On” and “Rationalist Speaks,” will feature Nel (School Uniform) and Rio, voiced by Lynn. Rio’s long-awaited appearance will be a particular highlight for many fans who have been eagerly anticipating her addition. These banners also offer an increased ★3 character drop rate of 6%, enhancing the chances for players to add these characters to their roster.

Anniversary Event: “Code: BOX Millennium Shadow”

Alongside the character releases, the event “Code: BOX – Millennium Shadow Approaches: One Question and Two Answers” will run from January 20 to February 3, 2025. Seiya and Nel will be featured as playable characters in the event, offering new challenges and exclusive rewards, including the ★3 character Karin (School Uniform) and event-specific training materials like Oparats.

New Furniture and Bonuses

In celebration of the anniversary and the new characters, the Millennium Tower Lounge furniture collection will be available for in-game cafe decoration. Players will also unlock additional decor items related to Seiya and Rio, providing new ways to personalize their experience.

Additionally, the anniversary login bonus will run from January 20 to February 26, 2025, offering decor items such as the Millennium Desk for Asuna and Karin. A 3x Drop Campaign will begin on January 20, followed by a 2x Teacher Experience Campaign starting January 25.
