What difference is there between the TUF A15 and A17 Gaming Laptops

We just covered the ASUS ROG Strix GA35 and the XG279Q. This time around we are also able to look at other products previously announced at CES 2020. Those being the ASUS TUF Gaming laptops A15 and A17.

Without further ado, let’s see what the comparison between these two TUF Gaming series laptops is;

ASUS TUF Gaming A15

The ASUS TUF Gaming A15 is a 15-inch laptop, but the screen refresh rate is higher than the ASUS TUF Gaming A17, as its screen refresh rate is 144Hz. If gamers are fans of heavy FPS games, ASUS TUF Gaming A15 is the new product for you. At the same time, the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 supports 1080P resolution.

In terms of hardware, the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 comes with an AMD Ryzen 4000H processor and a GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card. Its performance is acually higher than the ASUS TUF Gaming A17. For RAM and ROM, ASUS TUF Gaming A15 can hold up to 32GB of RAM + up to 1TB of PCIe SSD. For the keyboard, the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 comes with a full-size backlit keyboard and WASD key is also marked.

On the port side, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 features COMBO audio jack, 2 Type-A USB 3.2 ports, USB Type-C 3.2 ports, Type-A USB2.0, RJ45 LAN jack port, HDMI and power port. Although the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 is smaller in size  than the A17, it has better gaming and laptop performance than the A17.

ASUS TUF Gaming A17

The ASUS TUF Gaming A17 is also a gaming laptop. It also has 2 different colors, namely Fortress Gray and Bonefire Black. We especially like the Bonefire Black which has some cool highlights and gives the gaming laptop an edgier look. In terms of configuration, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 comes with a 120Hz IHS screen. Of course, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 is also a gaming laptop that supports 1080P.

On the hardware side, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 comes with an AMD Ryzen 4000H processor and a GeForce GTX 1660 graphics card, which can still pack a punch! In addition, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 also comes with a full-size backlit keyboard. WASD keys are also marked to make it easier for players to play games. Most importantly, this laptop can hold up to 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD.

In terms of size ASUS TUF Gaming A17 is larger than the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 in thickness and surface area! On the port side, ASUS TUF Gaming A17 features COMBO audio jack, 2 Type-A USB 3.2, Type-C USB 3.2, Type-A USB2.0, RJ45 LAN, HDMI and laptop power port.
