MAGES. has officially announced The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy, a new dungeon RPG based on the popular manga and anime series The Quintessential Quintuplets. The game is set to launch on September 18, 2025, in Japan for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
The new title transports the beloved quintuplet characters to a fantasy world where science and magic coexist. Players will step into the role of Futaro Uesugi, a struggling student at the Magic Academy who accepts a lucrative tutoring position only to discover his students are his classmates—five beautiful quintuplets from a noble family who dislike studying and are at risk of failing out.
The gameplay revolves around guiding these underperforming students toward graduation while uncovering their secrets. Players will experience a main storyline set in the Magic Academy alongside individual character stories focusing on each quintuplet. The game includes training mechanics to raise character stats, customize magic wands, and synthesize items. Players will also accept quests, explore dungeons, collect items, and use magic in battles against monsters.
Several editions will be available at launch. The Standard Edition will retail for 8,690 yen across all platforms, with the PlayStation 4 version being digital-only. A Limited Edition priced at 14,190 yen includes the game, an original anime Blu-ray featuring a 10-minute animation and 45-minute visual drama, a 36-page art book, and a soundtrack.
For dedicated fans, a 25,190 yen Special Box adds exclusive items like acrylic stands of all five quintuplets, tin badges, and collector’s items for the included Blu-ray. Digital enthusiasts of the upcoming The Quintessential Quintuplets RPG can opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition at 14,190 yen, which includes digital app versions of the bonus content found in the physical Limited Edition.
