Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced The Sword Art Online Game 10th Anniversary Project to celebrate ten years of the Live Novel’s series of video game adaptations.
A teaser trailer for the Sword Art Online Game 10th Anniversary Project was also revealed. You can watch it with the link to below:
The new trailer features footage from across the Sword Art Online anime and video games. It really showcases how the series has evolved throughout the years. Little has been revealed about what the new project will entail. They have however announced a couple of subjects that will be part of it.
The first is the upcoming Sword Art Online video game: Sword Art Online Last Recollection which will be launching for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on the 5th of October 2023.
The game received a new trailer to coincide with the Anniversary news:
The game is meant to be “the culmination of the SAO game series, featuring high-speed battles, MMO-like multiplayer, over 40 playable characters, and the largest number of unique endings.”
Finally, it has also been announced that the “SAO Game Strategy Conference 2023 – CONNECTING -” event will be held this summer. Further details like the date, location, and content of the event will be announced at a later date.
