Sword and Blade closed beta underway

5X Games‘ Sword and Blade has been in its closed beta test in Japan since 15 December, and will be running until 31 December 15:00 JST. iOS users will be required to go through the test via TestFlight while Android players can grab it directly from the Google Play store. The opening movie along with a promotional video has been revealed as well, for the start of this closed beta, which you can check out below:

Sword and Blade is an action RPG, with the playable characters being from five different sects that you can choose from, each with their own strengths, in the closed beta at least. Whether there will be more coming in the future is not known at present. The minimum requirements for the game at present are:

• iOS: iPhone 6S or later
• Android: 4.3 and above, 1GB RAM and above

Data from the closed beta cannot be carried over to the full release, and as such will be deleted once the period ends. However, if players reach level 40 within the game and use the same log in data for the full release, you’ll be getting some bonus items, provided you fill in the form within the game. There’s no mention of a release date, but well, you can just assume it’ll be later in 2021.
