SHUTEN ORDER, the highly anticipated collaboration between DMM GAMES and Too Kyo Games led by Danganronpa series creator Kazutaka Kodaka, will have its release date on September 5 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Publishers Spike Chunsoft and DMM Games, alongside developers Too Kyo Games and Neilo, confirmed that pre-orders will begin on May 22.
The multi-genre adventure title promises a unique gaming experience by incorporating five distinct game systems within a single narrative. Players will navigate through stealth action horror, multi-perspective visual novel mechanics, mystery adventures, extreme escape scenarios, and romance elements depending on their investigation choices.

Set in a world with just 168 days remaining until humanity’s end, SHUTEN ORDER follows protagonist Rei Shimobe, the resurrected founder of a religious organization called Shuten Order. After being murdered and brought back to life with no memories and only four days to live, Rei must identify and eliminate their killer to achieve true resurrection. Two self-proclaimed angels guide this high-stakes investigation, which centers around five government ministers as the primary suspects.
The game’s innovative structure allows the storyline and gameplay mechanics to change dramatically based on which minister players choose to investigate. Each path offers a completely different gaming experience, from intellectual puzzle-solving in dark 3D mazes to visual novel adventures with branching chronological routes.

Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd. will handle Steam publishing, while Spike Chunsoft, Inc. manages North American and European Nintendo Switch distribution. Nintendo Switch users who pre-order either the standard digital or Digital Deluxe Edition will receive an exclusive bonus: a digital novel titled “Before the Murders – case: Manji Fushicho,” supervised by Kodaka himself. This prequel story explores the backstory of one of the game’s key characters five years before the main events.
