Samurai Shodown: Oborozuki Densetsu has launched for the Android and iOS in China. SNK will announce a planned worldwide release on a later date.
As the title suggests, Samurai Shodown: Oborozuki Densetsu is based on SNK‘s popular fighting game series, Samurai Shodown (aka Samurai Spirits in Japan). SNK previously announced the game back in April 2018. However, unlike previous Samurai Shodown games, the latest one is not a fighting game. Samurai Shodown: Oborozuki Densetsu has RPG elements instead of an arena-styled fighting game. This includes character leveling and weapon enhancements.
In this game, players get to choose one of four different classes, each with a unique character. Classes include samurai, ninja and maiden. Each class has a unique playstyle to suit different players’ preferences. The aim is to aid characters from the franchise in their fight against evil. Fans may recognise some of the characters from the franchise such as Haohmaru and Nakoruru.
Furthermore, fans can get excited over the star-studded voice cast. The developers did not hold anything back from the fans when it came to voice acting. The cast includes fan favourites such as Hayami Saori, Fukuyama Jun, Sakura Ayane and Matsuoka Yoshitsugu.
