Launched in January 2017 for Steam, Detention (返校) is a survival horror game by Taiwanese game developer Red Candle Games. It is popular for its unique 2D side-scroller playstyle and story that incorporates religious elements based on Taiwanese culture and mythology. Recently a movie adaptation was announced for the game, and now it is confirmed to start airing in Taiwan on 20 September!
The movie will be directed by the award-winning director – John Hsu (徐汉强), while Gingle Wang (王净) will play as the female protagonist Fang Ray Shin (方芮欣).
