OCTAVEDGE is independent music label from Arknights developer, Hypergryph

Hypergryph has certainly no shortage of things to dabble into, the newest addition being OCTAVEDGE, their independent music label. Fans of Arknights are likely already aware of Monster Siren Records, the game’s more-or-less in-universe music label, that the game’s soundtrack and character songs are released under.

OCTAVEDGE, however, is an independent subsidiary under Hypergryph, and is separate from MSR. “Cubes Collective” is the label’s first project, intending to tell a story “through cubes”. The prelude “chapter”, “Waves”, is available on Bilibili. “Kubos” is the next release, posted 28 December 2021. All this is certainly quite intriguing, least of all, making the “joke” about Hypergryph actually being a music company become reality.

Other Hypergryph brands / projects include their upcoming paid game, Ex Astris, and their clothing line in Mounten. Mounten has since released a new space-themed line “Overload State” outside of their Arknights collab outfits. There will be more of these real life clothing coming soon, though we’ll have to wait and see if it’ll be more independent products or collab ones.

You can certainly marvel at the diversity that the company is attempting, not just limited to games alone. As always, if you’re interested in any of the goods, keeping track of their associated weibo accounts and having proxies handy would serve you well.
