New MMORPG Titled Odin: Valhalla Rising

Kakao Games and Lionheart Studio has just announced an upcoming new mobile MMORPG officially titled Odin: Valhalla Rising.

From the same people who developed “BLADE”, Kim Jaeyoung and the orignal designer for “Vindictus” Kim Beom will be part of the development team for this upcoming title. This MMORPG title will be an open-world game which will be adapting Norse Mythology’s worldview and story (5 different story arcs: Midgard, Jotunheim, Niflheim, Alfheim and Void Corps) with bringing some familiar faces from said mythology such as Medusa.

Odin is known as one of the principal gods in Norse mythology, while Valhalla is a majestic, enormous hall ruled over by the god Odin. The game will center on the epic battles in Valhalla. The game is set to release on smartphones and PC, but the release date is not yet confirmed.

Based on the few scenes that was available from the trailer, it seems that the combat system for Odin: Valhalla Rising will be heavily focused on a third-person view hack-and-slash genre.

There seems to be different kinds of classes, each with their specific set of skills. According to the official website, there are a total of four types of classes to choose from: Warrior class, Sorceress class, Rogue class and Priest class.
