Honor of Kings will launch Honor of Kings Plus on June 24, marking what the developers call their biggest version update to date. The free update introduces significant new features and improvements based on community feedback changing how players interact with the game. The biggest new thing is called Flowborn. It’s your own personal character that you can customize however you want. This is the first time any MOBA game has done something like this. You’re not just picking from existing heroes anymore – you can make your own.

Unlike traditional heroes, Flowborn serves as a customizable extension of the player on the battlefield. Players can select their character’s appearance, skin tone, and outfit while unlocking additional clothing and hairstyles through gameplay. The system also allows players to create and share custom 2D posters using various backgrounds, stickers, and nameplates.
Flowborn features an adaptive combat system with versatile weapons and skills effective across multiple lanes, and players can freely select attribute buffs during matches. The rollout begins with Flowborn Marksman on June 24, followed by Tank and Mage versions in July.
Individual Performance and Real-Time Translation
The update addresses a major community concern by implementing a new performance evaluation system that rewards individual achievement regardless of match outcome. The system calculates result points based on both match victory and personal performance points, which include basic evaluation and highlight moments ratings.
Players can now earn stars and ratings for exceptional plays, such as single-handedly destroying the opponent’s crystal for an instant SSS rating, or carrying games with perfect scores for additional star ratings. Even players on losing teams can retain or gain stars if they demonstrate strong individual performance, including scenarios where non-MVP players receive gold medals.

Starting June 24, Honor of Kings will offer real-time voice-to-text transcription and translation alongside existing translation features. The system initially supports Chinese, English, Indonesian, and Malay, with potential expansion to additional languages. This feature aims to improve communication between international players and help forge new friendships across language boundaries.
Streamlined Honor Pass System and Gameplay Improvements
Several gameplay adjustments target smoother match flow and reduced player frustration. Changes include increasing mid-lane minions to four, completely removing the Central River Sprite, and adjusting respawn frequency and rewards for various jungle monsters. The update also lowers super minion attributes to balance late-game pressure, modifies the turret shield system, and makes the Teleport Summoner Skill permanently available with improved visuals.
The existing Honor Pass system receives a complete overhaul following community feedback. The new streamlined mission system becomes the primary source for event-based rewards, with players earning experience through completing Honor Pass missions, achieving highlight moments, and finishing campaigns. Experience can then upgrade Honor Pass levels for additional rewards.

Players receive a free Elite Pass for the first month after updating. The initial new Honor Pass features a KWC theme, immediately granting the Nuwa-Syzygy Moonlight skin at level 1, with the Alessio EWC skin available for free at level 80. Deluxe Pass upgrades include 398 additional tokens for future passes.
Limited-Time Events and Free Content
The “Want It, Get It!” event offers players a skin voucher worth 1,688 tokens through task completion. The voucher applies to most skins released before January 1, 2025, excluding the new Yun Ying – Crystallight Spear skin. From June 28-30, all in-game skins launched before June 24 become free to use, including limited and legendary varieties.
