and zero to launch in Japan in May, pre-registrations open

coly‘s detective and romance game and zero – stylized as “&0” – has begun accepting pre-registrations ahead of its release in Japan. Much like the company’s previous games such as Stand My Heroes and Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku, &0 / and zero will also be targetting the female demographic.

Dubbed a “detective and romance simulation” game, you’ll be playing a heroine who has lost her memory, along the way meeting detectives whose pasts you can gradually unravel and learn about, for a “once in a lifetime” encounter. Presumably this is firmly in the otome game genre rather than the “general” joseimuke umbrella considering the focus on romance.

The official website has a rundown of the game’s various systems. Choose one of the available men as your investigation partner, and complete requests you may receive along the way. As the two of you interact, your bonds can deepen, and perhaps you’ll get to see a new side to him…? Enjoy the main story, card stories and of course, your individual stories of a future with him. With the pre-registrations announcement, and zero is currently slated for a May launch in Japan, with the official date to follow.
