We got our hands on the Zephyrus G14! At CES 2020, Asus has launched a wide selection of PC products and accessories for entrepreneurs, content creators, and gamers! One of the new products piqued our interest here at GamerBraves is the ROG Zephyrus G14 which is visually amazing! We had the opportunity to try this product at the ASUS event in Taipei.

If you remember the first Zephyrus, it was a series that redefined the meaning of “gaming laptop” and was one of the first portable devices to have an NVIDIA Max-Q GPU. At CES 2020, Asus announced that they would hit the gaming stream again with an “ultraportable gaming device,” known as the ROG Zephyrus G14.

AniMe Matrix

If you’ve read our previous article on the Zephyrus G14, the first thing you’ll notice is the LED matrix display consisting of 1,215 LED lights on the front of the laptop. The Zephyrus G14 uses a white LED that can be modified or controlled to create a unique animation or image design. This visual can also respond to sound and music. With the addition of this innovation, it was called “AniMe Matrix”.

Using the Asus Armory software, the display is integrated into the Zephyrus G14 cover where it can be used to display graphics, animated GIFs, and text messages in a variety multiple fonts. As mentioned above, these visuals can react to sound and music. This makes it a very attractive choice for DJs and music artists. ASUS assures us that the “AniMe Matrix” display is created with issues like total power consumption and internal heating in mind. The AniMe Matrix is ​​designed not only for style but also has many other practical uses, such as displaying email notifications or the time and date. In addition to having a unique display, the ROG Zephyrus G14 offers AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB storage, as well as Full HD and WQHD display resolution.
