Bandai has announced 30 Minutes Sisters, a spin-off of their 30-Minutes Missions line of highly customizable model kits.

The model kits are set to roll out in July of 2021, with the first wave consisting of a base figure, optional hairstyles , additional armor parts as well as faces for your character.

The base kit,  SIS-G00 Reseater consists of a full figure, and will cost 2530 Yen (RM 95.76). Alternatively, there’s an alternate body that can be bought for 880 Yen (RM 33.31), along with alternate hair for 660 Yen (RM 24.98), faces for 1078 Yen (RM 40.80) and armor pieces for another 660 Yen (RM24.98).

Here’s all the currently announced hairstyles. Note that they are currently only available in the one color, though it’s not irrational to assume that future kits could have them in different colors as well.

If all you wanted was a cute anime girl figurine, it makes a lot more sense to get the base figure, since building one from all the optional parts would set you back approximately 3000 yen. That being said, the G00 Reseater kit’s body type is different from the add-on kit, so it’s entirely up to you how you’d want to customize it.

While the line-up is small for now, the website shows that there are still unannounced kits to be added to the line, with at least two more full kits as well as additional body types. It’s unknown if these are going to be announced as part of the same wave, or if they’d be coming later with future waves having one of each type of kit in them.

You can also try your hand at making your own 30 Minutes Sisters via the website, with a web-based customizer that lets you mix-and-match the already-announced parts. It would also let you temper your expectations on how customizable the kits are meant to be, since they without prior kitbashing knowledge it’s easy to be mislead about the nature of the kits.

The 30 Minutes Sisters line seems to be influenced by Bandai’s short venture into “Frame Girls” with their Gundam Build Fighters model kits, which featured figurines of the game’s female characters. With the announcement of a whole line, now more fans will be able to make models to suit their individual tastes.
