Way of the Househusband Live Action Movie Announced

Popular manga Way of the Househusband is getting a live action movie, due out in summer of 2022.

The movie will see the cast of the Way of the Househusband live action drama reprising their roles, though it’s unknown if that means it will be following the continuity of the series, which diverts from the manga by introducing new characters.

We don’t know much else about the upcoming movie, but we can expect to see a first trailer in the coming months.

It’s a generally good sign for the series, which was adapted from a 4-koma manga of the same name. Since its launch the manga has seen incredible success, enough that they put out a live action ad reenacting the first chapter of the manga.

Since then, the series has also had a live action drama, as well as a second live action series, as well as a motion comic adaptation for Netflix.

Way of the Househusband revolves around the ex-yakuza formerly known as The Immortal Tatsu, who left his dark past to get married and become a househusband.

The manga has been praised for its relatively light-hearted approach, focusing on Tatsu enjoying his domestic life while still viewing things through the bloodthirsty lens of the mob.
