The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- Now Available on Switch and PC

Aniplex Inc. has announced the global release of The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- for PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch.

The game will come in physical and digital editions – The Digital Standard edition will come with a copy of the game and a digital short novel. The Digital Deluxe edition will include a copy of the game, a digital short novel, digital art book and digital soundtrack.

Physical editions include the Standard Edition and a Limited Edition. The limited edition will include a copy of the game for Nintendo Switch, an art book, a CD soundtrack, an acrylic diorama, a metal Last Defense Academy pin, a lenticular art card, a printed copy of an original The Hundred Line short novel and 15 character art cards.

Game Overview

The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- is the first original IP from Too Kyo Games and the creators of Danganronpa and Zero Escape series, showcasing a tense storyline filled with suspense leading up to 100 despair-filled endings.

The story of the game takes place with Takumi Sumino, an ordinary teen living a peaceful life in the Tokyo Residential Complex, until monsters suddenly attack his town. A mysterious being named Sirei appears and offers him power to protect others – if he’s willing to stab himself in the chest.

Takumi wakes up at Last Defense Academy, a massive, isolated school surrounded by supernatural flames. Along with 14 other students, he’s part of a Special Defense Unit tasked with surviving and defending the school for 100 days. Each student gains supernatural abilities by transforming their blood into Hemoanima, a mutated power source. But how much are they willing to give up to save the world?

Players will follow Takumi through a branching visual-novel narrative—bonding with classmates by day and battling grotesque invaders in grid-based tactical RPG combat by night. Strategy is key, and sometimes, desperate situations call for the ultimate sacrifice: trading a teammate’s life for a game-changing final attack.
