Sega has unintentionally shared sales numbers for some of its biggest game series after mistakenly including the data in a presentation document that was uploaded to their investor website.

The leaked data shows some surprising results across Sega’s major franchises. Persona 5 Royal leads the pack with an impressive 7.25 million copies sold, including its remastered version. This makes it one of Sega’s best-selling recent titles. The Like a Dragon series (also known as Yakuza) also had varied success. The original Like a Dragon sold 2.86 million copies, while the newest entry, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, reached 1.66 million sales. The spin-off title “The Man Who Erased Their Name” sold 0.96 million copies.
Other notable numbers include Persona 3 Reload with 2.07 million sales and Shin Megami Tensei V (including its Vengeance version) at 2.11 million copies. The Total War series also appeared in the data, with Total War: WARHAMMER III selling 2.34 million units and Total War: THREE KINGDOMS reaching 3.21 million sales.

These numbers give fans and industry watchers a rare look at how well different game series are actually performing. While companies sometimes share sales milestones, detailed figures like these are usually kept private. Gaming companies typically keep sales data confidential for competitive reasons, making this accidental leak particularly valuable for understanding the current gaming market. The quick removal of the document shows that Sega didn’t intend for this information to become public.
