S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 : Heart of Chernobyl has rolled out Patch 1.5, featuring one of the most significant updates to date, delivering fresh firepower, quality-of-life tweaks, and the long-awaited Zone Kit for official mod support. The update is live now on all platforms.
Patch 1.5 Highlights
There are two new weapons introduced in the game, the Three-Line Rifle and the Kora Pistol:
- Three-Line Rifle – lightweight bolt-action sniper, perfect for sharpshooters’ long-range picks.
- Kora Pistol – slow but devastating sidearm, making it a must-have for stalkers who value impactful firepower.
A new feature, Mutant-Parts Looting and Trading, is now available. Harvest eyes, tusks, and tentacles from slain mutants and barter them with NPCs for coupons after learning the ropes from Malachite.

A full modding toolkit, called Zone Kit, is now available on the Epic Games Store, allowing stalkers to create or tweak weapons, animations, anomalies, and more. Mods can be shared via Steam Workshop or mod.io. It is currently in Phase One, and more updates will be announced in the future.
Patch 1.5 also refines the overall gameplay experience with several quality-of-life updates. These include enhanced A-Life AI behavior, a brand-new Electric Water Tornado anomaly, and new vehicle models scattered throughout the world. Inventory management is now easier with an expanded stash window, while unique ammo icons make identifying bullets quicker and more intuitive. The update also introduces reload continuity, allowing Skif to continue reloads seamlessly after interruptions.
For players using the Ukrainian voiceover, Patch 1.5 adds Ukrainian lip sync to all non-prerendered cutscenes, enhancing immersion in key story moments.
