Gungrave G.O.R.E. Ultimate Enhanced Edition Now Available on Nintendo Switch 

The Ultimate Enhanced Edition of the third-person stylish action shooting game, Gungrave G.O.R.E., is now available on Nintendo Switch in Japan and Asia today.

Publisher Beep and development studio IGGYMOB have officially released Gungrave G.O.R.E. – Ultimate Enhanced Edition of the Nintendo Switch in Japan and Asia regions, distributed by EpicSoft Asia.

In this stylish third-person shooter, you play as the titular character Grave, a revived hitman and a walking living corpse, losing his memories and now mowing down enemies in a sea of bloody bullets.

The only thing Grave remembers is to protect his adopted daughter Mika, and now he is on a mission to destroy the Seed, a dangerous alien drug that has resurfaced and spread across the world.

Nintendo Switch Exclusive Content

Aside from the game coming to the Nintendo Switch, this version will also come with many features exclusive to this home and handheld console hybrid.

New Main Menu

Original illustrations are added to the main menu.

Full Break System

A new gameplay system where players can activate a Full Break by achieving 70 hits or more, further enhancing firing speed and bullet power through a maximum of 5 stages.

Run Shot

Players can now run and shoot at the same time, a mechanic that was added to realize the speedy action that was lacking when switching from shooting to dashing in the previous entry.

Improved HUD UI

HUD has seen improvement, displaying only essential information in a visually impactful way.

Weapon Customization

New improved weapon setup feature, allowing players to freely set up their preferred weapon style by separating parts that provide certain power-ups and items that only change visual appearances.

New Characters

Rocketbilly Redcadillac

A playable character that appeared in “GUNGRAVE O.D.” and is a spirit haunting an electric guitar.

The Japanese and Asian Switch version includes an exclusive white rockstar-style skin in addition to the normal red skin, bundled with the Limited Edition and available via paid DLC.

Harry MacDowell

Nicknamed “Bloody Harry”, he was Grave’s friend and an archenemy in the first Gungrave game, bundled with the Limited Edition and available via paid DLC.

Quartz

She first made her debut in Gungrave G.O.R.E. and formed the organization with Mika Asagi to destroy the SEED, bundled with the Limited Edition and available via paid DLC from January 18th.

Yensen the Boostmaster 

A Boss of the Raven Clan in Hong Kong and the second main enemy in Gungrave G.O.R.E., bundled with the Limited Edition and available via paid DLC from January 25th.

Improved Battle Design

The battle design has also been improved to reduce stress, which includes various adjustments to NPC placement, extremely long-range attacks, and other gameplay gimmicks such as falling from rooftops during missions.

This will enable a speedier and more dynamic experience free of obstacles that impede the gameplay.

Difficulty Adjustment

  • Unlock Brandon Heat after clearing this difficulty

The Japan and Asia limited edition also includes a variety of exclusive items, in particular, the DLC Season Pass will include special character skins.

Main Game

All characters available from the original Gungrave G.O.R.E. will be unlocked other than the Death Ronin Grave designed by Ikumi Nakamura, all other Beyond the Grave skins such as Bunji Kugashira and Brandon Heat are also included.

Original Gungrave + Gungrave O.D. Switch Retro Cover

The retro Switch cover using the artwork from previous titles will also be included for fans of the original Gungrave series.

Gungrave Character Compendium

A compendium book features background, location, character, weapons, and much more information about the world of Gungrave, available in both Japanese and English with over 80 pages of art.

Gungrave G.O.R.E. OST

A collector’s CD with over 20 selected tracks from the Gungrave G.O.R.E. OST.

Character Pass 

In addition to skins for Grave, the main character, other unique characters will also be available.

The Season Pass will include popular characters such as Rocketbilly Redcadillac, Harry MacDowell, Quartz, and Yensen the Boostmaster, each with different attacks, abilities, and demolition shots.

All characters can be selected and played in all seven worlds and all 34 levels from start to finish.

Rocketbilly Redcadillac and Harry MacDowell will be available from today, while Quartz will be
available from 18 January and Yensen the Boostmaster from 25 January.
