CounterSide Half-Anniversary Features New Roadmap and Swimsuit Skins

CounterSide celebrated its half-anniversary with a livestream and reveals that various quality-of-life and content updates are planned for the game.

In the live broadcast, developer STUDIOBSIDE thanked fans for their continuous support and revealed a roadmap for what is to come to CounterSide.

2023 New Seasonal Episode [Abandon Ship]

A new vacation story set in the Front Bay, a walled-up harbor city to the south of Ground One. It’s a place where pirates gathered and hunters hired by the Administration fight over bounties.

The story will focus on Captain Dracasia and her comrades, Sonia and Tallie, who had previously appeared in older events.

The New Seasonal Episode [Abandoned Ship] will start on the 9th of August and the character Tallie can be encountered on the 2nd of August through the new Counter Pass.

 Awakened Employee Mors teased to be released in September.

Alongside them, STUDIOBSIDE also teased other new Employees – Operator Sysop and Lenore will be joining the roster in September.

Prestige 2nd Season

The 2nd season of Prestige, Midsummer Tryst is scheduled to start on the 1st of August, 2023.

The Prestige system this time will have improved milestone rewards and will come with an Awakened Regina MacCready skin.

New Content – Alternium Factor 

A new growth system to act as an alternative to the rearmament to help units that became less viable due to power inflation. The Alternium Factor will be limited to certain ASSR and non-rearmed SSR Employees, rewarding special materials to enhance them.

The developers said that this new mode should combat the fans’ growing concern about older Employees becoming less viable in new content.

To unlock the Alternium Reactor for each unit, players have to upgrade them to level 110 and level 5 on all their skills.

After the Tactical Update on August 9th, the first set of characters to receive the Alternium Factor are:

• Hilde: Siegfried Type
• Fenrir Division Lee Sooyeon
• Fenrir Division Na Yubin

Following them, the next set of characters to be updated with the growth system on August 16th are:

• Yoo Mina: Fenrir Type
• Delta Seven Jaina Kropel
• Police SWAT 4 Lee Yumi

New Content – Origin

Origin is a new PvE mechanic that is planned to be released sometime in the second half of the year 2023.

In combination with unit role advantage and type, the characters with the correct Origin deployed on the field will deal more damage or take less damage in the field.

This allows for more strategic planning when players attempt to clear PvE stages.

Quality-of-Life Features

After the half-anniversary update, a multi-purchase feature will be added to the Today’s Deals shop, allowing players to buy multiple selected items at once.

The workshop will also receive a quality-of-life improvement, removing production time and crafting slots feature. The maximum capability for creating items will also be increased significantly.

Quartz will be compensated to players who had unlocked crafting slots prior to the update.

Other Notable Announcements 

In September, a new main story chapter will be added to the game called [Episode 11 – Six Wings] and will focus on the organization Six Wings and their purpose of working with Na Yubin. 

Hilde and Joo Shiyoon who have not shown up in the story in a while will be returning in this chapter. 

Alongside the story update, they also tease a new skin for Bunny Girl Ministra. 

In addition, a seasonal Halloween event alongside a new raid boss called the Kraken is set to come this October, and an awakened mech unit in November.

At the end of the livestream, developer STUDIOBSIDE also showcased a second trailer for their new game [Project Star].

The half-anniversary eve event will start on August 2nd and the main event on August 9th.

When the half-anniversary main event begins, the purchase limit on the 2x Special Benefit Admin Coin Package will be reset.
