Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Release Date Set for April 2025

Kepler Interactive and Sandfall Interactive have officially announced that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the highly anticipated turn-based RPG, will release on April 24, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are now open, and the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

Set in a stunning Belle Époque-inspired fantasy world, players will join Expedition 33 in their mission to destroy the Paintress. This entity’s cursed paintings erase entire generations. With only a year left to live, the team embarks on their final journey to stop this cycle of death. Along the way, you’ll meet new characters like the bloodthirsty Monoco and the mighty Esquie. Each offers unique abilities that will aid your team in navigating this breathtaking world, filled with secrets, optional battles, and hidden quests.

The game introduces innovative turn-based combat, enhanced by real-time actions such as dodging, parrying, and countering. As you explore diverse environments, including the Island of Visages and the Forgotten Battlefield, you’ll uncover hidden areas, complete challenging side quests, and build your team of Expeditioners. These characters come with specialized skills and gear.

In celebration of the release, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 offers several pre-order options. The Collector’s Edition includes a hand-painted Monolith music box, a steelbook case, a 48-page artbook, and exclusive downloadable content. This DLC features outfits and hairstyles inspired by the flowers of Lumière. For digital fans, the Deluxe Edition includes similar DLC and extra customization options for characters Maelle and Gustave.
