Alim, the developer for the renowned Brave Frontier series, had recently made an announcement of their collaboration with tri-Ace and Shueisha Character Business Bureau on a new project they call, Project Mist Gears. The is still in development but it is now ready for a Closed Beta! Players who are interested can now sign up for their Closed Beta test on their official site!
About The Game
As the game is called Mist Gears, players are thrown into a post-apocalyptic world where mankind was almost wiped out by a mysterious MIST. The world was engulfed in the thick mist that brought along monsters and drove humanity towards extinction which they call it the “Day of Purgatory”.
70 years later, a faction called the Valks Kingdom (ヴァルクス-Varukusu) began to build MIST GEARS in the hopes of battling against the monsters and reversing the MIST. Players will need to act according to the mist that covers the world. By using the MIST GEARS powered by the mist, players will need to explore the post-apocalyptic world and to use whatever means to rebuild their planet.
In the announcement, it was mentioned that this new project is a multimedia project that revolves around a mobile game, a comic series and a novel series. The game’s story is written by writer Hajime Tanaka (田中創) with characters desinged by Yoichi Amano (天野 洋一), the creator of Ana no Mujina. In this upcoming RPG, there will be a four player co-op mode as well.
The Closed Beta is only available for Android users. Players who wish to participate in the Closed Beta will be required to fill out a questionnaire to give feedback on the game. Once the questionnaire is completed, participants will also stand a chance to win a 5000 Yen Amazon Gift Card. Only 10 lucky participants will be picked to win the prize.
