Blue Archive, the popular tactical RPG from Nexon, has officially launched on Steam today, July 4, 2025 marking the end of its delay from its originally planned release date. The game was initially set to arrive on Steam on June 24th, but due to issues it pushed back the launch. In their official announcement today, the development team expressed excitement about the Steam launch, stating they’re “so happy to be walking this new path” with players and asking for continued support on the new platform.
Blue Archive is a free-to-play tactical RPG where players take on the role of a teacher at an academy in the mysterious city of Kivotos. Furthermore, players guide students with unique skills and personalities, building teams to tackle various challenges and battles.

The game first launched in Japan on mobile devices in February 2021, followed by a global release in November of the same year. It supports multiple languages including English, Korean, Chinese, and Thai. Additionally, the Steam version brings the mobile experience to PC with enhanced performance, full-screen support, and the ability to link existing Nexon accounts.
Developed by NAT Games and published globally by Nexon, Blue Archive has built a dedicated fanbase over the past few years. The Steam launch opens up the game to PC players who have been waiting to experience Kivotos without needing a mobile device. Moreover, players can now download Blue Archive on Steam and claim their compensation rewards for the delayed launch. The game remains free-to-play on all platforms.
